Mission Statement: As an agency, CASC's mission is enhancing the lives of older adults- one life at a time. This mission is carried out each day by our delivery drivers who smile, greet the client by name and hand them a hot meal. The need for Meals on Wheels is an ongoing need and a problem that will never be technically solved. Seniors who receive a meal may need that meal for 6 weeks, six months or 6 years. The primary goal is to allow a senior to stay independent as long as possible.
CASC has been serving Meals on Wheels to local seniors for over 50 years. Each weekday our team delivers more than 640 meals. Fiscal year 19-20, CASC served 192,443 meals. Through the pandemic, CASC delivered extra shelf stable foods, fresh dairy and produce with funding from CDBG CARES, Meals on Wheels of America and several other grants. As we head into 2021 the food insecurity that existed before COVID still remains.
